Aitken Basin

from ep by Idle Era

/

lyrics

I’ve had time to lick my wounds. I’ll be back to my old self soon
For all things deemed “not so bad”, At the time seem so huge
Everyone saying “It’ll all be alright”, When instincts are screaming “run”
Now I know you were a caveat, And I’m like the surface of the moon

When and astroid crashes all it’s might, into your surface over time
Your functions are priceless, you beauty is divine
But still it’s the craters that come to mind
Looking up at the night sky

Aitken Basin, you can ignore the impact, but the damage is done
It’s outer rim was visible from earth as a string of mountains
But Clementine reveals, in greater detail, what can happen

When and astroid crashes all it’s might, into your surface over time
Your functions are priceless, you beauty is divine
But still it’s the craters that come to mind
Looking up at the night sky
With flawed human eyes
These things take time

And I’ve had time to lick my wounds. I’ll be back to my old self soon
